Profound thoughts can be found anywhere. Having had a personal recent encounter with Death, I have armed myself with a compilations of said profundities to sling at the Devil (much like David and Goliath) and I have sent him running, tail between his legs and a migrain you woulldn't believe.

I must admit that if any of this are original I probably did not think of them first.
