Giglio (reptile@id-base.com) %d 19980228 %k Music %e Music is full of nooks and crannies. Among the high trees that are major music recording companies, are the tinier (but in fact quite powerful) ones, the indies. "Indie", an abbreviation for "independent", is a label some musicians would kill to be in, and some others would kill to get rid of it and become big stars in major labels. But, _what_ is the so-called "indie"? Well, no one really knows, at the present time. It's still a wild-card in the vast world of music labels. Even because "indie" itself is the problem's X variable. Anyway, if you're getting into indie music, you're assured to find highly conceited people there, acting like they're creators of Music itself. Some of them will pose like "who cares about big recording companies, we're indie, aaaarrrgggggghhh"... and at the first chance of signing up with the big ones pop up, they do. Some are in there for the fun of it, to meet new people, chicks, getting into parties for free and getting free booze. But they all are still lovely chaps themselves. Just don't compare them to other bands that sound like major recording companies, or else they might get viciously mad and all I'd recommend is RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. %e *EOA*
