Here is my article. If it is sent to the wrong place please tell me: It is of course a common and shared opinion among the inhabitants of the universe, there is a concept called 'infinity' which dictates that there is and can be an unexaustable supply of time, space, pangolins, etc. It is also thought that in an infinite space (such as the universe), all possiblies of everything CAN and MUST happen somewhere. In reality, there is no such thing as true infinity. Infinity can't and doesn't exist (although many non cricket fans would very much disagree). The theory of infinity is partly dispelled by the theory of 'the unstoppable cannon ball and the unmoveable post'. (For those unfilmilar with the theory, it basically means that if everything has top be possible in the universe, somewhere there is an unmoveable post which, no matter what it is hit by, it would be impossible to be moved. Also there would have to be a cannon ball which has been fired with such force that it cannot be stopped by anything in it's path. If the two were ever to collide, a paradox would take place, because the cannon ball wouldn't be able to pass through the post and the post wouldn't be able to stop the cannon ball, if they were both true.) This theory means that not everything is possible, so not everything CAN and MUST happen. On these grounds, we also must assume that this means the only truely infinite thing in the universe is: the universe itself. Because the universe is merely a realm, an area, a non material space (it is impossible to hold 'a lump' of the universe), the universe technically doesn't exist either. If the only infinite thing is something which doesn't exist, than that means that infinity also DOESN'T and CAN'T exist. This is of course nonsense. benedict xavier johnson you may reach me at bxj@hotmail.com
