Greetings again y'all! 2. Jello everyone! 3. Greetings from the Mothership! 4. Hey, that's *my* pie! Well, this is a pretty difficult message to write... but after almost four years here at PGG, it's time for me to move on. A lot of changes are going on in my life now, and this seems like a good time to make a clean start with things. I begin a new job in few days, and have other obligations I need to resolve. Plus I'm still trying to finish that music project from the spring! Don't Panic! I'll still be around, lurking and having fun! My links of photos have been updated a little bit (thx for that suggestion, Roel!), so if you want to visit that or my main Web home page, please check out: http://www.oakland.edu/~swbaker Where Things Are ---------------- I've updated the PGG Mothership with updated archives, and with a new "complete.zip" file for PC/MS-DOS users. Alex sent me one more approved article, so that's in there as well. I'll post that in just a minute. I've updated the FAQ file and sent that to the newsgroups, and it's available on the Mothership as well. There's a new Mothership directory called "in-box" which has every old PGG article I could scrape up. There's some very old stuff in there, as well as about 4,000 recruited articles from Roel (thanks for all your work, Roel!). Where Things May Be ------------------- The Mothership isn't going anywhere, but it's not open for people to upload stuff. I'll still be around, so if future editors want to email the updated files to me, I'd be happy to put them online here. The new Press Cards sound like a great idea, and I want to thank Stephane Luisser for his great work with the PGG logos and graphics. I hope someone, somehow, finally gets those things together... I'll *definately* order a bunch (maybe we can start a PGG Alumni Sector or something, eh Paul?). To Those Who May Be Editors --------------------------- To all those who've written asking to be an Editor, well, here's your chance! I'd recommend that you pick one of the articles from the "in-box" directory, take a crack at editing it, and post it to the newsgroup as a demo/example of your editorial prowess. So Long And Thanks For All The... --------------------------------- I guess that's about it for now... my deepest thanks to those who've been with us at PGG for the long haul (hard to believe it's been almost *four years*!!), and also to those brand-new readers who are PGG's future! Anyone remember those zany "Texas Bob and/or Eddie Froman" posts I used to make, with those bizarre quotes from WLSD-FM radio songs? My, those were the days... It's been a fantastic ride, from developing TG! back in '92, to working hard with standards and conventions for the *.new files, to the First Annual PGG Weekend (er, did we miss this year's yet?), and lots of fun in between! PGG has been an extremely important part of my life, and I shall miss active duty dearly. That's why I'm finding it very hard to say one last time... Share and Enjoy, Steve
